The Guild M-40 Standard Natural is a concert-sized acoustic guitar crafted in the USA, combining premium tonewoods with Guild's renowned acoustic guitar craftsmanship. Its solid Sitka Spruce top and solid African Mahogany back and sides produce a powerful, well-balanced voice, while the compact M body offers a comfortable playing experience for fingerstyle players, singer-songwriters and guitarists who prefer a more focused acoustic response.
The M-40 Standard features a Mahogany C-shaped neck with an Indian Rosewood fingerboard, providing a comfortable and familiar playing feel. Its forward-shifted scalloped X bracing enhances the responsiveness of the Sitka Spruce soundboard, while the ultra-thin Natural Vintage Gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish highlights the natural beauty of the tonewoods and gives the guitar a distinctive vintage appearance.
The acoustic-electric M-40E Standard Natural is equipped with an integrated L.R. Baggs Element VTC pickup system with Volume and Tone controls and built-in low-frequency compression for a natural amplified sound with reduced boominess and feedback. Finished with a Tortoiseshell pickguard, white ABS binding and Guild Deluxe Vintage open-gear tuners, the M-40 Standard also includes a Guild Deluxe humidified hardshell case. Each guitar is tested and set up in our acoustic guitar workshop before being offered by Sky Music Australia.
