Palexia IR Tablets 50mg – Tapentadol Hydrochloride
Active Ingredient: Tapentadol 50 mg (as tapentadol hydrochloride)
Formulation: Immediate-Release, film-coated oral tablet
Palexia IR 50 mg delivers rapid-onset relief for severe, acute pain when alternative analgesics are inadequate. Each tablet contains tapentadol, an opioid agonist with dual mechanisms of action – μ-opioid receptor agonism and noradrenaline re-uptake inhibition – providing effective pain control with a favourable gastrointestinal tolerability profile.

Strength: 50mg tapentadol per tablet

Indication: Short-term management of severe acute pain responsive to opioid therapy

Onset: Rapid absorption; peak plasma levels typically within 1 hour

Dosing: Individualised – usually 50–100 mg every 4–6 hours as required, not to exceed 600 mg in 24 hours

Schedule: Schedule 8 (Controlled Drug) – Prescription Only Medicine
