Bedford Park is a Toronto-based independent bottler that has become one of the most exciting names in North American rum — selecting single casks from distilleries like Hampden, Foursquare, and Caroni, bottling them at cask strength with no additives or chill filtration, and dressing them in the "Shady Grove" label art of Toronto artist Elise Conlin. Distributed stateside by Raising Glasses. This Barbados 24 Year is the oldest Bajan rum the bottler has released, and it's a single cask from an unnamed distillery in Saint Lucy parish — Bedford Park's own tongue-in-cheek note is that visitors can start in Saint Michael, which is where the Barbados rum story began. It is not Foursquare, and that's the point: a towering presence in Bajan rum with a distinct, older house style, bottled here after nearly a quarter century in oak. Expect the classic Barbados balance at extraordinary age — pot and column still character married into honeyed oak, toasted coconut, dried apricot and fig, vanilla, almond, and cedar cigar box, with a long, elegant, gently spiced finish that carries none of the harshness cask strength might suggest. Non-chill filtered, no additives, proof and outturn on the label. RumRatings tasters have called Bedford Park's Barbados picks among the bottler's best. A rare, very old Bajan single cask from a bottler whose Hampden LROK 2000 sits among RumX's highest-rated rums.Buy Bedford Park 24 Year Barbados Single Barrel Rum online with fast shipping right to your door.
