Crater Lake Reserve Vodka comes from Bendistillery in Bend, Oregon, the craft distillery behind Crater Lake Spirits, and it was born by accident. While filtering vodka, the team left the pump running far longer than intended; after more than 100 filtration cycles through charcoal and lava rock, the result was not just good but extraordinary, and the Reserve was born. It is bottled at 80 proof. All that filtration makes it exceptionally smooth: a clean, faintly sweet nose, a soft, almost creamy palate with no burn, and a crisp, pristine finish. It is a vodka for sipping ice cold or in a top-shelf martini, where there is nothing to hide behind. This 750ml bottle is one of the smoothest American craft vodkas on the shelf.
