Batik uses alternating layers of wax and dyes to create a unique design on fabric. Learn to draw with a tjanting and brushes to create unique designs. Create batiks on both fabric and paper.
Materials are included, but you will need to provide your own fabric. White cotton works best. Bring in your own or purchase from the Handprinted shop on the day.
Do you need more time to finish your print? The studio is usually available after the workshop has finished for open access studio time – pay £5 per hour to stay and work independently. Just pay on the day for studio time and any extra materials used. To book, email shop@handprinted.co.uk, or just let us know during the class if you'd like to stay on.
All of our workshops take place in our studio at 22 Arun Business Park, Shripney Road, Bognor Regis, PO22 9SX.
