Arbikie Experimental Batch Limited Edition Nadar Gin｜ Other Products

Nàdar means "nature" in Gaelic, and this gin has a carbon footprint of negative 1.54 kilograms per bottle — the world's first climate-positive gin, launched in 2020 by Arbikie Distillery on the Stirling family farm on the Angus coast near Arbroath. The idea began as master distiller Kirsty Black's PhD research: instead of wheat, the base spirit is distilled from peas grown on the estate. Peas fix their own nitrogen, so they need no synthetic fertilizer and improve the soil for whatever follows — which means growing them actively removes more carbon than distilling them releases. Everything happens on site at Scotland's first single-site, field-to-bottle distillery. This Experimental Batch is a limited edition riff on that recipe, distilled in copper pot stills with the Nàdar signature botanicals: lemongrass and citrus leaf for a bright, zesty lift over juniper, with the pea base lending a soft, faintly savory roundness that wheat or grain spirit can't. Expect fresh citrus and a green, herbal note on the nose, opening into a clean, smooth palate with lemongrass, juniper, and a gentle earthy sweetness from the peas, finishing crisp. The Gin Guide praises the range for genuine innovation rather than gimmick, and the science behind it drew coverage from CNN. Limited-batch bottling; specs vary by release, so check your label. Superb in a G&T with a wedge of lime or a Gimlet — and a genuinely good story to tell while you pour it.Buy Arbikie Experimental Batch Limited Edition Nadar Gin online with fast shipping right to your door.
