New Release｜Blowfish Extra Anejo Tequila｜ Other Products

The Extra Añejo is the top of the Blowfish range and the bottle where the brand's smooth-first philosophy gets its longest test: 100% Blue Weber agave from Jalisco, produced under NOM 1438, aged well past the three-year threshold that defines the category. That extended time in oak is what separates it from the rest of the line — the Añejo is rich, but this one is deep, with the wood contributing layers the younger expressions can't reach while the house signature of balance and approachability keeps it from tipping into pure barrel. Expect a dark amber pour with cooked agave, vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak on the nose alongside dried fruit, dark chocolate, and a hint of tobacco, opening into a full, velvety palate of butterscotch, cinnamon, dried cherry, cocoa, and toasted nuts, finishing long and warm with oak spice and lingering agave sweetness. The brand describes it as exquisitely rich, smooth, and rewarding, and it drinks that way — closer to a fine brandy or a sherried whisky in weight, but unmistakably tequila underneath. Presented in the brand's signature puffer-fish-inspired bottle, which makes it a natural gift or bar-cart centerpiece. This is a neat pour in a snifter, ideally after dinner and without ice. The full Blowfish lineup runs Blanco, Indigo, Reposado, Añejo, and Extra Añejo.
