Shopping Shortlist｜ Other Products ｜Fresh Burgundy Truffles with Wooden Truffle Slicer (Tuber Uncinatum)

Burgundy truffle is very similar to summer truffle, almost chocolaty in the more mature truffles. The surface is rugged. Fun fact: this truffle takes its name from the hook-shaped crests of its spores. Widely used, burgundy truffles are known and appreciated around the world. The picking season goes from September to December.
Burgundy is excellent when it is fully ripe and the traditional sauce is obtained by adding it to olive oil (hot but not boiling), a touch of garlic, salt and pepper.
This preparation is great for bruschetta, pasta, meat and fish. You can also try it sliced on salads.
1oz of product is recommended for each portion.
This product also includes a wooden truffle slicer.
Harvest Regions: Piedmont, Emilia Romagna, Marche, Umbria, Lazio, Abruzzo, Campania, Molise.
Product life: 1 to 2 weeks, kept in a refrigerator at 37.5 F (3 C), wrapped in a paper towel. We recommend to use the truffles soon after they are received, preferably within 2 days.
IMPORTANT: In order to reach the weight purchased, the order might be made up of several smaller truffles rather than one single truffle. (This is because the truffle is a product of nature and it is not always available in the exact weight desired for purchase.)
