Product description
Product Type: Sotol Size: 750mLProof: 45% Alc/Vol Region: Mexico Description: Savor the distinctive allure of Sotol Ono, a remarkable spirit crafted exclusively from 100% Dasylirion cedrosanum. Thriving in the arid landscapes of the Coyame Desert at low elevation, these precious plants are carefully harvested to capture their essence.
Embracing traditional methods, the journey of Sotol Ono begins with cooking the plants in shallow pits, where the fires are fueled by a harmonious blend of willow and oak. Once tender, the plants are expertly shredded by axe, and their essence is revealed through open-air fermentation in below-ground masonry tanks. This unhurried process allows the flavors to develop, culminating in a spirit of exceptional quality.
The art of distillation takes center stage as Sotol Ono is twice-distilled using time-honored copper stills. This meticulous process extracts the purest essence of the spirit, ensuring every sip embodies the soul of the Coyame Desert.
Upon indulging in Sotol Ono, you are greeted by a bright and invigorating aroma. Pine, alfalfa, black pepper, and the subtle embrace of new oak dance on the senses, accompanied by hints of damp soil that evoke the essence of the desert. As the liquid caresses your palate, a soft and mellow experience unfolds, characterized by a rich and silky texture. Delight in the harmonious notes of wet clay, cacao, and almond skin, which add depth and complexity to the spirit.
With its versatile profile, Sotol Ono is perfectly suited for mixing, allowing you to craft unique and captivating cocktails. Its impeccable balance and smoothness lend themselves to a variety of flavor combinations, inviting you to explore and create.
Experience the allure of Sotol Ono, a testament to the artistry and dedication of its creators. With a 45% ABV, this exceptional spirit promises to captivate your senses and transport you to the captivating landscapes of the Coyame Desert with each sip.
