Martin Super HD-28 Acoustic Guitarw/Molded Hardshell Case
Expanded Style 28 dreadnought power withrosewood depth and Golden Era bracing
Overview
The Martin Super HD-28 Acoustic Guitar w/Molded Hardshell Case takes the legendary Style 28 dreadnought voice and pushes it into a larger, more commanding format. Built with a Super D-14 Fret body that offers 20 percent more internal air volume than a standard dreadnought, this guitar delivers huge bass response, bold projection and a powerful acoustic presence. A solid spruce top, solid East Indian rosewood back and sides, forward-shifted Golden Era scalloped X-bracing and a traditional dovetail neck joint make it a bold evolution of a Martin icon.
Features
The Super D body is the defining feature of this model, giving the guitar a bigger acoustic chamber for enhanced low-end depth and room-filling volume. Players who love the authority of a dreadnought but want even more projection and bass response will immediately understand what makes this instrument different.
The solid spruce top provides clarity, power and dynamic range, while solid East Indian rosewood back and sides add rich overtones, warmth and tonal complexity. Forward-shifted Golden Era scalloped X-bracing helps the top move with vintage-inspired responsiveness, giving the guitar strong sustain, open resonance and a voice that should continue to develop as it is played over time.
Style 28 appointments give the Super HD-28 its timeless Martin character, including bold herringbone top inlay, multi-stripe rosette, diamond-and-square abalone fretboard inlays and a classic old-style script logo. The GE Modified Low Oval neck with High-Performance Taper offers a comfortable modern feel, while the ebony bridge, bone nut, bone saddle and nickel open-gear tuners complete a premium acoustic built for serious players.
