Your Next Choice｜Rare Character Limited Release Bourbon Whiskey Batch No.14｜ Other Products

Limited Release Batch 14 is Rare Character's 2025 small-batch bourbon at 126 proof — barrels chosen from some of America's most storied rickhouses and blended by Pablo Moix, the palate Whisky Advocate credits for America's hottest whiskey company. Moix, a twenty-year vintage-spirits buyer, and Peter Nevenglosky founded Rare Character in Louisville in 2021, sourcing from Wild Turkey, Willett, Bardstown Bourbon Company, and brokers, sealing every bottle in colored wax; the Limited Release batches blend multiple barrels to a profile, numbered and wax-sealed, and Batch 14 is bottled uncut at 126 proof. The house notes: maple syrup, dark brown sugar, cinnamon red hots, toasted almond, cookie butter, banana bread pudding, caramel, sweet oak, leather, and dried cranberry on the nose; crème brûlée, cream puff, cinnamon graham cracker, cherry hard candy, black pepper, pipe tobacco, and chocolate-covered almond on a silky, dense palate; and a long finish that starts as graham-cracker pie crust and caramel drizzle and ends in nutmeg, brown sugar, tobacco, oak, and hot chocolate. Expect a dessert-forward, high-proof Kentucky blend with real age in it. Honest note: the batches are the findable Rare Character — the way in for the drinker who can't get a single barrel — and 14 is the sweetest, richest of the recent ones. Neat, water.
