Acer palmatum 'Oridono-nishiki' is an upright Japanese Maple which is admired for its vibrant foliage. Its dainty leaves are variegated and feature pleasant spring hues of pink, creamy white, and light green. During summer the light green colours deepen in tone until autumn when the foliage turns shades of golden yellow and orange. The stem, particularly when it is young, is distinct from other Japanese Maples for its striking white streaks.
We recommend positioning Acer 'Oridono-nishiki' in full to partial sun in a sheltered location. The upright shape makes it ideal for smaller gardens and in 20 years its approximate height and spread is 6 x 3 metres.
