The Martin D-12E Road Series Acoustic Guitar delivers the powerful, balanced voice of a classic Dreadnought in an accessible, road-ready package. Featuring a solid Spruce top with a gloss finish and Sapele back and sides, this guitar offers clear projection, warm low end, and a versatile response that works beautifully for strumming, songwriting, live performance, and recording.
The D-12E combines Martin's traditional aesthetic with practical modern appointments, including a Style 28 multi-stripe rosette, Style 18 back purfling, black binding and pickguard, and an FSC®-certified Richlite® fingerboard and bridge. Its Performing Artist neck with High-Performance Taper and 1 3/4" nut width provides a comfortable, familiar playing feel, while the hand-rubbed Select Hardwood neck adds a smooth touch.
For amplified performance, the Martin E1 electronics system features a built-in soundhole tuner, allowing you to tune conveniently without an external pedal. With its D-14 Fret body, scalloped X-bracing, nickel open-gear tuners, and choice of included soft-shell case or soft gig bag depending on material availability, the Martin D-12E is ready for the stage, studio, and road.
