Product description
This stunning original work by Pierre Emmanuel Martin, exemplifies his mastery of form, texture, and monochromatic depth, drawing inspiration from the organic abstraction and modernist purity of postwar European art. Martin, known for his bold yet meditative compositions, explores the relationship between negative space and gestural mark-making, evoking the influences of Hans Arp, Pierre Soulages, and modernist lithography.
His work is deeply rooted in material experimentation, often incorporating richly pigmented washes and tactile surfaces that shift with the light. This piece, part of the Lemieux Et Cie Art Collection, reflects Martin’s ability to merge painterly abstraction with a sculptural sensibility, making it a commanding presence in any interior—where art functions as both narrative and statement.
